2-day weekend course

This 2-day course is ideal for experienced Pilates or Yoga teachers and Physical therapists who wish to have more Pilates studio strategies for post rehab clients.

You will dive into the pilates studio environment and discover a multitude of possibilites hidden in the world of pilates machines or simultaneously the mat. This extremely rich source of pilates resources will help your work with your clients and give you Pilates tools and inspiration.

Everyone gets injured. At some point we all suffer a smaller or greater injury. Pilates exercises and Studio Pilates machines are packed full of wonderful possibilites for regaining one’s spinal balance and muscle strength. In PILATESwiss®  Pilates for Injuries workshop you will look at common injuries and use the classical studio environment in the Visceral approach to best accompany your clients. The cool thing about this workshop is we immerse ourselves in the comprehensive studio environment and give you tools simultaneously from the mat or the machines. This workshop is a must for Pilates Teachers working with or without the machines.  Our special guest presenter Taltiha Reinhadt, Physical-therapist and PILATESwiss®  450 hour program graduate will guide us through this workshop looking at current rehabilitative knowledge and give you a weekend full of interesting patient case examples.  

Special about PILATESwiss® program is that you learn to teach individuals or work with your private clients or patients and in small groups as well. PILATESwiss® is a comprehensive and internationally recognized teacher-training program. Course materials, assessments and language of instruction are completely bilingual in English or German.

Goals of the Program

  • Learn foundation principles of what we can do as pilates practitioners when reintegrating clients back into the studio machines or back onto the mat.
  • Incorporate the proper use of PILATESwiss® staggered or Visceral breath as a rehabilitative measure.
  • Learn understanding of anatomical and motor knowledge of alignment as the body returns from post rehab state, by looking at key upper and lower body injuries as well as the intercavitary pressure that can be regulated by Visceral Pilates to facilitate rehabilitation.
  • Learn different teaching and cueing tools for post rehab returning clients.
  • Learn essential strategies on how to get the post rehab participant to gain confidence in their own body’s abilities.

Exam / Test

There is a verbal summary of the course content. the manual content, the lecture contents and the pre-script “PILATESwiss® Core Visceral.

Prerequisites

Requirements for this course are the building blocks for Pilates or teaching skills that you have gained to date, and the comprehension of the pre-script “PILATESwiss® Core Visceral Anatomy”. We also recommend familiarity with Pilates machines of any kind.

Duration

A total of 24 learning hours

The workshop consists of two days or 16 hours
We recognize 8 hours self-study in order to gain the content of the pre-script “PILATESwiss® Core Visceral Anatomy”.

Attest

Certificate of completion and/or Diploma of passing the PILATESwiss® evaluation.

Teacher / Mentor

Talitha Reinhardt and/or a teacher trainer from the PILATESwiss® teacher trainer team depending on schedules or availability.

Cost

CHF 580.– payment in advance. This includes the pre-script “PILATESwiss® Core Visceral Anatomy” and the course manual, which is handed out during the workshop.
